La ceremonia de premiación se realizará el domingo 23 de mayo y será transmitida por TNT (en español) y TNT Series (en idioma original), a partir de las 19.00 (COL / MEX) / 20.00 (CHI) / 21.00 (ARG) horas y contará con los comentarios y traduccionesde Ileana Rodriguez, Florencia Coianis y Rafael Sarmiento. Un poco antes, a las 18.30 (COL / MEX) / 19.30 (CHI) / 20.30 (ARG) horas, el programa Punto de Encuentro TNT realizará una previa con todos los detalles de esta fiesta en la que millones de fans de Latinoamérica podrán conocer cómo se elige a los ganadores, quiénes son los favoritos y cuáles son las tendencias que se reflejan a través de los nominados. Podrá verse por redes sociales TNT y será conducido por Anaís Castro, Heisel Mora y Gerudito.

La gala tendrá como anfitrión a Nick Jonas y se transmitirá desde el Microsoft Theater de Los Angeles. Los artistas que están confirmados para el show son AJR, Alicia Keys, Bad Bunny, BTS, DJ Khaled ft. H.E.R. and Migos, Duran Duran, Glass Animals, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis with Sounds of Blackness ft. Ann Nesby, Karol G, The Weeknd, Twenty One Pilots y Doja Cat & SZA.

The Weeknd es el principal favorito gracias a sus 16 nominaciones, entre las que se incluyen Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top 100 Artist, Top Streaming Song Artist y Top Song Sales Artist. Su álbum After Hours consiguió múltiples reconocimientos, incluyendo Top Billboard 200 Album y Top R&B Album. Además, su single Blinding Lights es opción en cinco categorías.

Otros segmentos como el premio Top Artist será disputado por Drake, Juice WRLD, Pop Smoke, Taylor Swift y The Weeknd. Para Top New Artist los nominados son Gabby Barrett, Doja Cat, Jack Harlow, Pop Smoke y Rod Wave. En Top Duo/Group la lucha será entre AC/DC, AJR, BTS, Dan + Shay y Maroon 5.
